Updated 2026-10-15

Short answer

In ING Australia, open the account, choose the date range and use the download/export option to save a CSV file. The file contains: Date, Description, Credit, Debit, Balance — with a header row. Credit and Debit columns (debits shown as negative numbers). Import it into a budgeting spreadsheet such as Sorted Budget and the columns are detected and categorised for you.

Steps

  1. Log in to ING online banking on a computer.
  2. Open the account and go to Transaction history.
  3. Choose Show more options and set a custom date range.
  4. Use the Export menu and choose CSV.

What’s in the file

Date formatdd/mm/yyyy

Limits and tips

If you have both an Orange Everyday and a Savings Maximiser, export each one and import them into separate Bank tabs — transfers between them are matched automatically.

ING doesn't publish these steps in one place; menu names may differ slightly.

Banks update their menus from time to time. If a button has moved, search your bank’s help for “export transactions” or “download transactions”.
