How to export Up transactions to CSV

Updated 2026-10-15

Short answer

In Up, open the account, choose the date range and use the download/export option to save a CSV file. The file contains: Time, BSB / Account Number, Transaction Type, Payee, Description, Category, Tags, Subtotal (AUD), Currency, …, Total (AUD), Payment Method, Settled Date — with a header row. Signed amounts (Subtotal and Total columns). Import it into a budgeting spreadsheet such as Sorted Budget and the columns are detected and categorised for you.

Steps

  1. Open the Up app and go to Activity › Insights.
  2. Use Switch to pick the month.
  3. Scroll down and tap Export transactions.

Limits and tips

Up exports one month at a time. Import the latest month into a Bank tab; to add older months, paste their rows underneath in the same Bank tab.

Banks update their menus from time to time. If a button has moved, search your bank’s help for “export transactions” or “download transactions”.
